Barb Gengler

Barb Gengler a serial hobbyist who has played with fiber, glass, silver and wood throughout the years to create afghans, windows, vases, jewelry, musical instruments and other functional art. As in her career developing software solutions, she enjoys the challenge of creating functional solutions using resources and materials at hand (spoiler alert, she's really into scraps).

So, along came quilting! It all started with a search for a Darth-Vador-themed present for a nephew which ended with a "kit"...how hard could that be!

Almost a decade on, she's known as the Candy Store Quilter because -- like any kid in a candy store -- she wants to try one of everything!

Barb's happy place is her colorful studio, where she does longarm quilting and offers casual workshops she calls Playdates.

She's spreading her wings into the world of quilt pattern creation with their corresponding video tutorials.
