Hi, there! I’m Christine 🙂
I grew up falling asleep to the hum of my mom’s old Singer sewing machine and can still remember the day she let me try it out for myself. My love for sewing began here- in her hand-me down sewing chair- as she told me stories of my grandmother, an extraordinary seamstress, who I had never met.
Many years later my mother-in-law introduced me to the world of quilting. As a new stay-at-home mom, I found that I loved to escape to my sewing room during naps times. And that the familiar sound of my machine, helped me to feel connected to the many women in my life.
The sense of connection to the past, while making something beautiful, and that my children can enjoy for years to come is the reason I love quilting so much.
