Jessica Steele

Hey there!

I'm Jessica, quilt pattern designer and owner of Jessica Steele Design - home of athletically-inspired designs for the modern quilter. As a quilt pattern designer, my designs originate and are inspired by details found in the sporting world.

As a self-described tomboy growing up in an athletic family household, you could find me on a field, court or in a stadium much more than you could find me behind a sewing machine. So how did I get into quilting?

Much to my surprise, my mother's influence as a quilter and maker rubbed off on me more than I expected and I eventually found myself working in product development in the apparel and footwear industries early on in my career.

After several years in product development and a move to a new state, I suddenly found myself without a creative outlet. As a full-time mom of two, quilting quickly filled that void during those small pockets of time in the day.

As a new quilter, I struggled to find modern, sports-inspired quilt patterns that truly sparked my creativity — so I started Jessica Steele Design.
